Join Calapooia Brewing on Thursday, September 10th, from 5-6 p.m. as we welcome the next instalment of History Sips, the after-hours version of Albany Regional Museum’s popular lecture program History Bites.

September’s event will feature Looks That Kill: The Dark Side of Victorian Fashion. The event is free to attend, open to the public, and will take place in the brewpub's outdoor, covered atrium.

In this presentation, ARM director and forensic history enthusiast Val Van Alstyne will discuss the dangers of dress and personal expression in the 19th century. She will unveil a unique variety of pleasures and perils associated with Victorian fashion from head to toe. Come hear about the very last word in fashion trends!

Food and drinks can be purchased from Calapooia Brewing as normal; no refreshments will be provided by ARM.
