On Saturday, September 6th, the Corvallis Lions Club is proud to host the annual 0.3K Albany Beer “Run” fundraising event. The event will span from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., beginning at Calapooia Brewing, 140 Hill St. NE, Albany, Ore., and concluding at Deluxe Brewing, 635 NE Water Ave., Albany, Ore. Pre-registration for the event is $30 per runner with proceeds benefiting PAL, or Prevent a Litter, a local nonprofit promoting responsible dog guardianship through spay/neuter assistance and education.

Dedicated to the below-average athlete and weekend warrior, the Albany Beer "Run" begins with a beer garden at Calapooia Brewing, opening to participants at 11:00 a.m.. Registration includes a pint of craft beer from Calapooia Brewing prior to the race, which starts at 12:00 p.m.. The event concludes at Deluxe Brewing with a second pint of complimentary craft beer and features a carb-loading donut station for runners mid-race. Both brewery locations will have food service and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic refreshments available for purchase on-site.

The Albany Beer “Run” event is pet-friendly for well-behaved pets on leashes. Both Calapooia Brewing and Deluxe Brewing locations are pet-friendly and family-friendly, however runners must have valid identification and be of legal drinking age to enjoy complimentary beer.

Advance registration for the event is open online through September 5th and costs participants $30 each. Included in event entry is a race medal, an oval 0.3K sticker, an Albany Beer "Run" commemorative shirt when pre-registered by August 22, and two craft beer tickets. Runners must be of legal drinking age to redeem beer tickets. Please bring valid identification and cash. Day-of registration opens at Calapooia Brewing at 10:30 a.m.

Experience Classic Burlesque at Calapooia! 21+ Older**

Join us for an unforgettable evening of glitz and glamour at Dottie’s Naughties Burlesque on Saturday, August 30th at Calapooia Brewing. The event doors will open at 7:30 PM, with showtime at 8:00 PM in the Atrium. Spectators must be 21 or older to attend, with valid ID, and there is a $15 cover at the atrium door - cash only.

Delight in the allure of classic burlesque with fans, boas, chair routines, glove peels, and stocking pulls—all wrapped in a sparkling package of timeless elegance.

This event series is not just about fun with the whole family— we’re fundraising for local canine-centered non profit organizations! In August, we're thrilled to welcome back our friends at Senior Dog Rescue of Oregon. Take part in ‘Yappy Hour’ - $1 from every pint or cocktail purchased during the event will be donated to our non-profit partner! We’ll also be hosting Music Bingo with all proceeds from bingo card sales benefiting SDRO! Cards will be available for $3 each, cash only, beginning at 4 PM in the atrium, with gameplay beginning at 5 PM.

As always, the Calapooia Brewpub is family-friendly and pet-friendly to friendly pets, though attendees do not need to bring a dog to join. We do ask that all pets remain on leash during the event.

About the Music:

Caveman Dave is a Singer-Songwriter, Cigar Box Guitar Builder, Graphic Artist and One Man Band originally from the Philadelphia area of Pennsylvania. Since 2014, he's toured the Country several times performing at Pubs and Festivals. David has a Degree in Education and Fine Art from West Chester University and currently lives in Eugene, OR where he teaches music at the Shedd Institute.
