It’s Time to Get Crackin’ 🦀

The 2026 United Way of Linn, Benton and Lincoln Counties Crab Fest will mark the 25th anniversary of this cherished community tradition, taking place on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Calapooia Brewing Company in Albany, Oregon. For a quarter of a century, Crab Fest has brought people together to celebrate local flavor, connection, and community spirit—all while supporting vital programs that make a real difference in the lives of our neighbors. This milestone year will feature the same delicious fresh Dungeness crab, Calapooia’s signature brews, live music, and exciting raffles that attendees have come to love, along with special touches to honor 25 years of impact. Proceeds will benefit United Way’s efforts to build stronger, healthier, and more resilient communities across Linn, Benton, and Lincoln Counties.

In this compelling talk, artist and photographer Nolan Streitberger delves into the tragic history of the 1856 forced removal of Southern Oregon tribes, exploring the events that led to this pivotal moment in Oregon’s history. He shares insights from his meticulous research process, recounting how he retraced the 32-day journey from Fort Lane to the newly established Grand Ronde Reservation, uncovering the camp locations along the route.

Nolan also explains the historic photographic technique he used to document these sites, offering a deeper understanding of why he chose this vintage process. As he presents his striking photographs, he reads aloud the journal entries of the Indian Agent who oversaw the 1856 removal, providing a poignant connection to the past.

Join Calapooia Brewing for a spooktacular evening with Pumpkin Carving on Wednesday, October 29th, from 6-8 PM in our cozy, covered outdoor atrium. As part of our weekly craft club night, this event invites you to unleash your creativity in carving (or painting) your very own pumpkin.

Pre-Register and secure your spot by purchasing tickets through the link below. Space is limited, so don't wait! Tickets are $20 each and include one pumpkin, access to carving tools and stencils, paint supplies, (for those who prefer not to carve your gourd) and a draft beverage of your choice.
